“Water is fluid, soft, & yielding. But water will wear away rock, which is rigid and cannot yield. As a rule, whatever is fluid, soft, and yielding will overcome whatever is rigid and hard. This is another paradox: what is soft is strong.”
~ Lao Tzu
That is definitely ancient wisdom from Lao Tzu (600 BC). It is so easy to just repeat the same behaviors over & over again without ever stepping back to examine them. Have you ever stepped back to examine how you are approaching your life – rigid or flexible?
Yes, it’s good to have certain values & principles in your life that are unyielding. However, many people tend to be rigid in many other areas of their life as well. Areas that prevent them from moving forward.
Are you being so rigid that you are getting in your own way?
We often tend to think we have a lot more control in our lives than we actually do.
Staying fluid like water opens up an entirely new set of possibilities in your life. Today I’m challenging you to step back, examine where your life is rigid & decide if some more flexibility in that part of your life might benefit you.
